PogoWasRight.org (Church theme)

I publish three noncommercial privacy and security news sites where content is king. PogoWasRight.org is the "mother ship." For three years my site was based on Geeklog and looked like this: http://archive.pogowasright.org/index.php

Now it looks like this: http://www.pogowasright.org

I would welcome constructive feedback -- and advice on something:

I am using 4 images in FCG because I worry about loading time. The images are generally under 75 KB, but the filesizes concern me. Any advice on number of images?

Thanks for any comments or suggestions.
