Default Align photos within post

http://www.papillonclub.co.uk/wordpress/?p=71

I have tried just about everything to get the photos within the post to top-align. The following is what I currently have, but as you can see they do not line up correctly. Is there anything I can do to line them up?
Oh, if I do not start a new line for the second photo, I get the caption code showing before the photo and it is not within the "frame" as the others are.

Code:
[caption id="attachment_74" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="Best in Show"][/caption]
[caption id="attachment_84" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="Best Puppy In Show"][/caption]
<div class="clear"></div>
[caption id="attachment_76" align="alignleft" width="297" caption="Best Opposite Sex"][/caption]
[caption id="attachment_80" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="Reserve Best in Show"][/caption]
<div class="clear"></div>
