Replacement for WP No Category

Hi ALL .. does anyone have a solution / replacement for WP No Category Base plugin, please

upgrading to WP 3.4 now has a situation of the plugin not working

I don't normally upgrade so quickly due to experience but have become so aware of Google that I upgraded only to now have a loss of traffic
