Hi, I would like to say that your Tutorials are not clearly communicated for novices at all.
It is quite frustrating. For example: In the tutorial 'How to Add Recent Posts to the Homepage' Step #1 Add the following css to your style.css file: Where exactly? Right at the top? Where? Step #2 You can either take the home_2.php file which is in the latest theme download and rename it home.php and upload it to your server, or you can take the code below and replace your current home.php file with it: Do you mean take the home_2.php file and rename it and delete the home.php file? And if you have it already uploaded to WP from the latest theme download do you just delete the home.php file? I had to figure out step #2 through a process of trial and error. When I just tried to replace the code there were problems. I find the lack of clear instructions so frustrating. Studiopress really need to work on communicating the tutorials in a clearer and more detailed definite manner, so there is no margin for unnecessary error for beginners who are not use to delving into code and making changes there. I would appreciate the help for Step #1. Thanks Marina |
