Custom header banner

First I am sorry if this topic is covered somewhere, but I just can't seem to find what should be a simple solution.

I am converting my current dreamweaver site to the Lifestyle theme and have a 940x169 header banner I want in place of what is currently in the theme.
I see lots of threads on how to customize colors or add to the banner section of the header, but I just want my header banner image to fill the whole top area. Isn't there some place in the theme to upload a custom header?
Sorry if I am overlooking it. I would think this is something simple to do.
