Default question regarding Revolution 3.0

(note - I was told that this was the forum to use as this theme is no longer available. If it should be somewhere else, let me know)

Here is the problem I face:

I have a client using the Revolution 3.0 theme. I recently upgraded them to WP 3.4.1 (they had been on 3.0) and got some odd errors on the blog page. The blog was pushed down and there were four lines of the following:
Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in
home/mindset/www/www/blog/wp-settings.php on line 520 (also had line 535, 542 & 578
Deprecated: Function set_magic_quotes_runtime () is deprecated in line 18

I knew this meant something wasn't suported. When I looked at files via FTP, I saw the blog folder. It seemed to have another copy of wordpress inside it.

When I renamed the folder and saved it, I get what is there now. http://www.mindsetseries.com/blog (nothing)

I am recommending that this client choose a new theme (a child theme on the Genesis platform). In the meantime, can someone offer suggestions about what is going on and how I might fix it?

Thanks,

Melanie

re were several lines repeating...something to the effect

I upgraded their wordpress and something odd happened. The blog page got an error message. It indicated that some items pointed to the wrong folder. When I looked through Filezilla, it seemed like there were two instances of WP. (it confused by backup tool too). I renamed the folder and then all the errors went away, but now the blog page is messed up. http://www.mindsetseries.com/blog/ I'm not sure how to fix. Can you point me in the right direction?
