Newbie & already a big problem installing Genesis

Hi! I have just purchased Genesis and a theme. I installed Genesis through Wordpress control panel. The install was successfull and when I clicked activate, I got the following message:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, postmaster@blogtobealive.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Now I have the same message when I try to access my blog. Help? I can only access the content of my blog through FTP. Is there a way to uninstall Genesis that way? I tried to simply delete the folder but then when I type my blog URL I get a blank page. :(

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
