Default Vulnerability in SiteStudio investigated by my Hosting Service

Hi All,

A few weeks ago my bank contacted me because someone had captured my credit card number and was using it in another state. This is a card that I open with the specific purpose of purchasing a theme and paying for my hosting service.

I immediately contacted my hosting service and they promised to do an investigation. Two weeks later I receive this email:

Hello,

We recently contacted you regarding a potential vulnerability
identified within SiteStudio. In order to protect the security of your
account it is absolutely necessary to change your cPanel password at
this time. We understand this is an inconvenience, and apologize
greatly for that. Although we have no reason to believe that your
account has been accessed as a result of this potential vulnerability,
we have deemed it necessary to take the following pro-active measures
to ensure security across the network and protect your data:

Your cPanel password has been changed

Please note that once you log in using the above password, you may
change the password by clicking the "Change Password" icon under the
"Preferences" icon group in your control panel. Please do not re-use
the password you used previously.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us via Live
Chat at

Once again, we apologize for this inconvenience and we thank you for
your continued business.

Best Regards,

I took out all the personal stuff, but I wanted to alert you all that there might be a problem when purchasing themes on your site. I hope this is resolved soon and I look forward to making a new purchase in the coming weeks.

Cheers,
callie
