Copying long blocks of text to WP post without hard returns

Copying long blocks of text to WP post without hard returns

I post press releases and other news items to my wordpress blog that are often sent to me in the body of an email. When I received these messages in gmail the long blocks of text usually have hard returns scattered throughout, and when I copy this to wordpress the formatting looks horrible.

So I have to manually go through and delete the hard returns to bring the paragraphs together so they flow naturally in my published posts.

Is there anything I can do to make this easier? It's driving me crazy
