Default Gravity Forms created post, Add meta Description

I have gravity forms automatically creating posts when a user submits a form. Is there a way I can add the Genesis meta description after the post has been created?

Currently I am using the Gravity Forms gform_post_submission hook to add extra information to the post content, updating $post->post_content and calling wp_update_post($post) . Is it possible to add the meta description in a similar way?

Thanks
