Default Web Developer Toolbar - the "Edit CSS" function

Something has changed (an update of Web Developer toolbar or Firefox) that allowed me to click on the Edit CSS tool in Firebox that then would bring you into CSS mode (panel to the right would open) and you could edit the CSS live (if you hit refresh the changes are gone so its not committing to a file or anything). Then I would simply copy/paste changes to put into the Styles.css to commit. Now when I do this process, it opens up to the right but each line is numbered. It doesn't seem to be making the changes either and when I hit Enter I lose sight of the change as it pops me back up to the top of the window.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

Possibly there is a better tool out there then this one for editing what is on the screen via typing along, not in Firebug as I can do little changes in there to test, and then you can take all the changes and copy/paste to commit and save.

Thanks,
CK
