Addition of Portfolio

I tried my hand at adding a portfolio page to the Platinum theme pursuant to the instructions Brian gave on his blog.

I added the code, created the files, and uploaded them. In the admin area I have a new area under “Comments” called portfolio that lets me see existing and create new. I think this is a custom post type.

I created 2 test portfolio pages and added a featured image to each. Now, how do I pull these 2 images together in a single place, like I would see on a portfolio page in either the Crystal or Lifestyle themes? I know this is different from those themes, but seem to be missing something.

Also, I am looking to build lots of these portfolio pages and pull some images to certain pages and not others. Like I would do with crystal or lifestyle.
