I am interested in building a web site using wordpress and genesis that is a database of over 20 years of artwork that spans many mediums and genres.
I gravitate towards the grid view layout to be able to see many thumbnails at a time. The question is which is the better route to take: A custom post type or regular post type? I have been advised that a regular post type is better suited however I like the way this site works http://themes.themedizain.com/dizain-01/portfolio/ It however uses custom post types. What is the opinion here of which is the best approach, custom post type or regular? I am dealing with a huge database of work and want to make the right choice from the start. Thanks... |
