swapping out the original logo.png doesn't change page

i've just begun setting up the Magazine template and I'm stumped as to why an image (logo.png) isn't showing up

I took the psd and changed the supplied logo, ("magazine") to what I wanted, saved it as a png (or think i did)

here it is ----->

uploaded it to /images/ as logo.png, yet the 'magazine' logo is still there.

is it a proper png?
