what are the general changes from WP2.7 to WP2.8

I´ve installed WP 2.8 on a Server and wanna running a Template, that was under 2.7 absolutely ok and functionally.
Now, the Template cant find the Categories. Could anyone telling me, where the general changes are between 2.7 and 2.8?
