Sharing others' blog posts

Hi everyone!
I am working on a site where the person is trying to share education articles to share with her readers. The site is self-hosted so I don't have the reblog button available.
Is there another way to repost articles on a Wordpress site?
Should I recommend that she try to do this or should she paraphrase an article and site the original article as a link on the blog post?
I am wondering about this in relation to duplicate content as well as SEO purposes.
