Paragraphs not working in widgets

Hi

I am using the Corporate Blue theme, wordpress 2.82 and none of the widgets which I add text to are dealing with paragraphs. I have tried "automatically adding paragraphs" and I also tried using html code and it doesnt seem to be working.

Any ideas appreciated
