Widget error message- please help

I am getting this error message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: esc_url() in D:\hshome\bbanne1\cherrymag.com.au\wordpress\wp-content\themes\lifestyle_40\tools\sp_dashboard_wid get.php on line 10

I am guessing it is to do with the 468 post banner because it isn't showing. How do I fix this?
