Question Widgets within navigation?

Hey,

I saw a real cool nav menu in bestfriends.org

So I contacted stu [@] cssplay.co.uk, and asked him if he had a similar menu. He looked it over and his reply-

Quote:
The bestfriends.org menu uses javascript (megamenu) and if javascript is turned off then the menu does not show at all so there is no way to navigate the site. This menu can be reproduced using just CSS and would work on PC, Mac, and iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.
Ok, so he did sent me some that were comparable- I liked these:
1. http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menus/csspl...verything.html
2. http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menus/drop-table.html

Stu has no knowledge of WP, Genesis, child theme, or even widgets.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
So if you look at bestfriends.org, or either of the two menus he already has you'll notice there are excerpts within the drop downs. I really like the menu at bestfriends, and he said he can create a custom menu using only css

Question: Is the navigation in Genesis capable of having a text widget within a link in the drop down like either of these menus? Or is it possible to add a page excerpt with a thumbnail similar to these using CSS Classes.

Is any of this possible using Gensis as it sits- Or is this a total Custom Job?

Regards,

Robert
