Deleted the home page

Hi - I deleted the "Home Page" on the original theme while creating my pages. I added the Featured content plugin and added back a home page and I messed up the code so that you know longer reach the basic original home page with featured blogs and video (not to mention the featured content plugin). Any idea what code I deleted? I uploaded the "home.php" file back up in case that was the problem, didn't fix it.
