style of menu dropdowns

Hi :)

I've had to play with the menu style a bit (specifically the height) to get the look and feel I want here:

As a consequeuce, the height of the dropdown menus is way out - it seems to be matching the height of the main menu items. Is there a way to make the height of the dropdown menu items smaller (and the width too) while retaining the look of the main menu items?
