Using Only Pages To Build Site

Hello all.

I tried searching for a solution to no avail.

I want to build a site only using pages. So I need to get the pages I build to show in the featured content widgets in church theme.
Ive built sites with this theme using posts in the feature areas but cant figure out how to only show pages.

Any help or a point to in the right direction would be appropriated.
