Featured Content Gallery not displaying

Followed instructions for Featured Content Gallery
ADded two posts, category featured

I notice that when pasting the url path of the photo that the "-" in wp-content is treated as a continuation.
how do I get by this error ?
Using the right arrow key, the cursor moves across all characters except the -
below is how it appears

Mozilla firefox seems to read the - better, but the pictures still dont show
