Default FCG with Church 4.0 Not Showing anything

My FCG is working on our website but on our local test machine I have nothing now. It was working (I've gone through the tutuorials again)....but I think I've done something simple like add a background image or something that is overwriting the photos. The photos are uploaded correctly w/ articleimg as the custom field.

All I'm getting is a white background with a thin black line around the gallery - no pics, no words, no navigation arrows --

I've reloaded the original STYLE.CSS to see if that would help - but nothing.
1) What other files do I need to go through and revert back to originals that would effect the FCG? (I've reinstalled the plug-in as well).
2) Did ANYTHING change in Church 4.0 that I have to update to show the photos in FCG?

thanks again...

Rob
