Default Read More links to wrong post

A new development... I don't believe it was always this way.
http://www.larrynatwick.com

"Read more" on the home page (left sidebar) now links to the most recent post, no matter which category, or any other variables I could come up with.

I have tried deleting, then rebuilding the post. With the most recent post deleted, the "new" most recent post is the one in the read more link.

Made a new test post under a different category.

Changed which category is called up under Appearance>Education theme options.

I don't believe I have changed the function.php page, or inadvertently removed anything from home.php.

I'm out of ideas. Anyone else have any?

Thanks in advance for any insight,
Sherri
