Navbar dropdown menu not displaying on home page

Navbar dropdown menu not displaying on home page

Hi guys,

I'm currently working on customising a site using the lifestyle 4.0 theme.

I am using a static page as the home page... for some reason the dropdown menus in the Navbar don't drop down.

But...

If I click on the parent page in the Navbar the page displays and only then does the dropdown menu work..

This has really got me puzzled because nothing has changed in the config of the css for the dropdowns to only work on the page that the dropdown menu is linked to.
