Newsletter plugin

Hi everyone,
I want to insert a free newsletter-Sign-up. In the Sidebar is a widget called "Enews & updates". I know that the subscriber gets the latest news and posts, but I am wondering if it also collects the Email adresses.
If not, what is a good plug-in to get the Email addresses from the Subscribers.
