Single Sidebar

I would like to have one single wide sidebar with the widgets and categories, blogroll, archives, etc...and get rid of the left and right sidebars.
How should I edit the CSS to do this?
I'm sure this question has been asked before but I could not find answer in the search engine, thanks!
