Version 3.0
To specify which category and how many posts to show on your homepage, follow these steps:

Step #1
Inside your WordPress dashboard go to Appearance BlackCanvas Theme Options.

Step #2
Under the Homepage Category section, select whichever category and how many posts you want to show.

Version 2.0 and Below

By default, WordPress will set your Reading Settings to display the latest 10 posts. You need to change that to 1 for this theme to work properly. Here's all you need to do:

Step #1
Go to the WP dashboard, go to Settings > Reading and change Blog pages show at most to 1. By default this version will automatically display the latest post regardless of category.
