Default Paragraph Spacing and Breaks

I'm just curious - perhaps this isn't a Streamline issue per se - if I want to add a </br> or

to the Wordpress editor as I'm writing text, the pages it displays does not respect the extra spaces below a line of text that I'm entering. Is there a way to do that?

Also, if I have a left-aligned image and want to inset text below that item, it automatically puts the text to the right of it. Is that simply a padding/margin issue with the CSS?
