Solution for Featured Content Gallery images not showing up

I would have liked to have included this in another post I had about a solution for why my images were not showing up while using the Featured Content Gallery, but I couldn't find it using the search/links. :(

In that post I mentioned that you needed to put the correct number of images you have set up to display in FCG in the "Number of Items to Display" section and then it would work.

And it did work...until I added more posts.

It was then that I discovered FCG was automatically seeking images that would correspond to the new posts. I found this out when I looked at my empty image frame and saw the titles of my newest posts showing up.

To correct this I needed to input the ID numbers of the posts into the section "Select here to use individual post or page IDs."

You can find this number in your browser's URL window when you are either posting or editing your post:

i.e. http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/post.php ... t&post=206

The "206" is the individual post or page ID.

After I had done that, using commas in between like this (12,42,107), it would search for only those posts that I had listed and lo and behold their images showed up in FCG.
