Static image on home page instead of Featured Cont Gallery

Featured Content Gallery hosed my WordPress site, causing a Error 500 - Internal server error
until I deactivated it.

How can I just insert a static graphic, the dimensions of FCG into the design of my home page? This graphic can go right where the FCG content was supposed to appear in the Lifestyle theme.
