A few issues with lifestyle

I have a few problems that I am hoping someone would be kind enough to help me with:

1. If you go to http://busymomsguidetokidscrafts.com you will see on the top right the blue behind the banner advertisement - How do I get rid of that?

2. On the demo for this theme, it showed rotating pics and I am wondering how to do I get that to work?

I really appreciate any help or feedback on the site.
