Removing Categories From Individual Featured Sections

Hello,

I have been trying to figure out how to remove one specified category from my featured main section on the homepage. I have read a few forum posts about how to remove certain categories from the entire homepage with the "exclude" command, but I have been unable to figure out how to remove an individual category from an individual feature section on the homepage. In other words, I want all categories except "Humor" to appear in the featured main section on the homepage. I have also tried to use the Advanced Category Excluder to accomplish this, but I believe it is only capable of removing categories from the entire homepage instead of individual feature sections.
