external link in nav bar - add drop down

Hi,
I added some external links in my navigation bar and would like to add sub items (drop down navigation). For instance, I have a nav item called Teacher Pages which links to an external URL. I would like to have a drop down menu listing individual teacher sites - all have external URLS. Is this possible?
