Best Hosting Service

Now that I have made the switch to WP I am looking for a good hosting provider. My current one, 1and1.com, is a hassle to set up WP.

WordPress recommends several but BlueHost is listed first with a highlighted background. Are they paying for that position? My son highly recommends HostGator but they are not listed as one of the recommended host providers.

I will be hosting more than 100 WP sites in the next 6 months, so I want a hosting solution where I can quickly setup and maintain WP.

Any feedback on excellent WP hosting providers is appreciated.
