Widget for .hpmainleft - Executive

Hi,

Working with Executive theme I'd like to find a way to replace the post/page text with a widget in home page hpmainleft. The issue is that the thems strips out page/post HTML formatting.

I'd like to have a widget there so I can format the text there.

I've cheated it for now but my cheat is not recommended by others in the Forum.
