Change background?

What is the best way to change the background color for the sp lifestyle theme? It is probably the same for all themes.

I have changed the color for the header and title bars by changing the color of img in photoshop. I would like to change the grey background in the lifestyle theme that has that slightly shaded borderish thing to just a solid color.
