Turning Lifestyle into blog?

Ok, I hope this isn't to weird of a question, but here goes. We love the theme, and after a LOT of tweaking, we decided that we would like the front page to be the blog and not use a Blog page...yet not lose the formatting we have done with Home.php. Is this possible? We currently use only one category, and it is doing a query of all categories and pulling in 15 posts.

I know enough about Wordpress to be dangerous and do not mind breaking the site to figure it out, I figured I might want to get a bit of advice first. I was thinking it would involve simply editing the Index.php using the style formatting we have in the home.php.
