Default Adding another feature area on front page

Here's our website:

www.manualredeye.com

The Church theme has by default three feature areas on the front page: top left, top right, and bottom.

We'd like to add an additional layer of features so that we have top left, top right, middle left, middle right, and bottom.

How can we do this? I'm sure it's complicated but I don't mind.
