Default How to scale down image for Featured Content Galley

I'm trying to scale down some images for the Feature Content Gallery without uploading them into my Media Library

Here's the original image http://mayasartdesign.com/David/pl_images/mbora0003.jpg

Here's the site with the FCG http://www.mayasartdesign.com/content/

I want to scale them down to w=945, h=708.

I know that there's a way to scale the image in the custom field articleimg where I can define the width and height but I just can't figure it out after trying searching in several forums.

Thanks
