Graphics issues, localhost and abroad.
Before pushing one of the new themes to a new site, I typically load it on my local machine and customize it appropriately, enough. The machine is a vista home box and I'm using WAMP for all things PHP. Normally, it's pretty slick. I also have tomcat and I have many rather robust development tools installed. All that means is that I'm convinced WP will typically work properly on my machine even though it's Vista.
However, I can't get the graphics to work right on the new themes. The pro rev themes work great with thumbnails and other things but on Revolution Office, the thumbnails are blank. In IE they show up the red x. On opera, they are blank, on Firefox they don't show. On Chrome, it's a black box. The box is actually the right size but the picture won't show.
So, I moved the theme to the site, a Windows based WP installation and I got the same results.
I've seen the problems in the past with 2 or more Featured content posts required for it to work right, but right now, not even the thumbnails on featured posts will work. I suspect it has something to do with the GD engine, but if that was the issue, then the thumbnails should work (and do with the previous theme).
So, I've tried to be thorough, but please ask any additional questions if necessary. If you have the answer, I would greatly appreciate it.
Best regards,
Michael
