Thumbnails for youtube videos

Images in my posts are showing thumbnails like a charm in the category listing. However embedded Youtube videos in my posts do not show thumbnails in the category list. How can I create thumbnails for youtube video?

I even tried the plugin YouTube Thumbnailer v1.1 ( http://orenyomtov.com) but does not seem to work with the lifestyle theme. Has anyone managed to get it work?

Please help.
