Can't View Blog Section

Hello

I've successfully downloaded the Lifestyle theme. My problem is that the Lifestyle theme has taken over my blog page. I don't want the featured content pictures, etc on my blog page. I just want the blog posts. How can I change this?

I've gone into attributes and changed the page template to Blog, but I still have the home page format.
