Default Recovering data

Hi,

A few months ago, one of my blogs was infected with a virus. We downloaded everything, scanned them and re-uploaded them. Nothing except the basic theme showed.

So, we hired someone and he says that the database has nothing but the basic Wordpress stufff. We never accessed the database. In fact, didn't knew much abotu the database. The hosting company(godaddy) would not have deleted the data either.

We'd be losing a lot of content if the person we hired is right. Is there a way to recover the data? What should I do? Please advise.

Thanks in advance.
