Default Putting Categories on the Navbar

I'm sure this has been addressed already but I can't find the specific post (if any). I'm looking to add 4-5 categories only to the navbar in Metro, along with some child-pages, and then pull in blog posts with those category IDs.

For example, "Entertainment" as a link on the navbar with "Music" "Nightlife" etc. as submenus that go to relevant blog posts. I believe I'd need to have "Entertainment" on a page, but how would I pull the blog posts in?

Is there a place to figure this out?
Thanks,
Chris
