Church theme customization?

Hi! I don´t know coding but has basic knowledge of WP (I have a blog). Now I´m building a new blog, and am interesterd in Church theme. On the showcase section I see a lot of different versions of the theme. Is it necessary to know coding to make such alterations to the original theme?

Also, what customizations options do I have (w/o knowing coding)? Can I for instance change the header? Can I choose one column instead of two under the Feature section?
