Featured Content not working...

I installed the plugin.. and followed the directions however the featured content plugin is not working. It just "loads". I also do not like the display text it chooses to display since it doesn't show plugins.

I tried going to the plugin site and following their directions including featured text -- but it doesn't work. Any clue?
