How do i add post author info?

Hi,

I am trying to figure out something, basically what I want is to have a small thumbnail picture with the authors name, when it was posted (time/date etc) on the top left of each post, how would I go about setting this up for myself and a contributor I have hired, my blog is self hosted with wordpress.
