Internationalization

Hi,

Please excuse me if I ask very obvious questions, I am very new to this Theme. I have a feeling there may be a translation or internationaliZation (vs internationaliSation :)) module that will make this easy but I have not worked that far yet.

On the posting template, would it be able to change some of the field names to suit an international market, without making maintenance and future upgrades a nightmare. Specifically, would the following be possible :

1) Change the "MLS #" field to something else, for instance an internal "Reference Number" (I think the MLS number is specific to certain countries)
2) Change the description for "State" to something like "State, Province, Region or Area") or a more general description.
3) Change "Zip" to "Postal Code"
4) Add a "Country" field. Preferably a drop-down, possibly pre-populated with countries
5) Possibly add a "Currency" field

6) Change "Square Feet" to "Squatre Metres" or "Area"
7) Change "Basement" to "Garages" or even omit it

Generally, how easy would it be to add specific fields that may be more pertinent to certain markets ? I saw the excellent post by Kris at http://www.agentpress.com/support/showthread.php?t=95 and by following it, I would certainly resolve most of the questions above about additional fields I guess. However, these edits will then have to be applied to all new versions, etc. I was wondering if there is another way to do it that wont involve edits with every new version or update.

In terms of changing fields, a similiar post would be much appreciated, unless it already exists.

Would it be possible to add a currency converter in a sleek and seamless way, to convert the listing price from the currency listed, to a currency of the users choice ? Much in the same way as Google maps. I know that is a lot to ask !
